Volunteer Marine Rescue are a volunteer organisation whose primary purpose is to save the lives of people in distress within the Moreton Bay and surrounding areas. As they are purely volunteer based they have many sponsors including the Sandgate Yacht Club, Lionfish Dive Club and Sandgate Canoe Club.
